Privacy Policy
Collective Atlas collects only the information needed to build, deliver, support, and improve your travel-planning experience.
Information we collect
When you use Trip Captain, we may collect the information you provide in a free or paid planning brief, including your name, email address, phone number, departure city, travel dates, budget, travel party, children’s ages, transportation preferences, lodging needs, loyalty programs, accessibility considerations, and other travel preferences.
We also receive basic technical and security information needed to operate the website, such as request data, device or browser information, and records necessary to prevent abuse and troubleshoot service problems.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Collective Atlas does not receive or store your full card number. Stripe may collect payment, billing, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under its own privacy terms. We retain transaction references, payment status, purchased plan level, and the checkout email so we can fulfill the order and provide support.
Accounts and plan storage
A paid purchase creates a Trip Captain customer record tied to the checkout email. When you choose to access My Plans, ChatGPT sign-in verifies your identity and allows the site to match the verified email to paid plans. Do not use someone else’s email at checkout or attempt to access another person’s plan.
How we use information
- Generate the free vacation direction and Dad Score.
- Research, prepare, deliver, and revise a purchased Hero Plan.
- Communicate about payment, delivery, questions, booking help, or customer support.
- Maintain customer accounts and prevent unauthorized plan access.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
- Meet legal, accounting, and payment obligations.
Service providers
We share information only when needed to operate the service. Providers may include our website hosting and storage platform, Stripe for payments, OpenAI for optional ChatGPT identity verification, FormSubmit for delivering a paid intake to our business email, and travel suppliers when you separately authorize booking assistance. Each provider handles information under its own terms and security practices.
Data selling and advertising
Collective Atlas does not sell customer personal information. We do not provide trip briefs to third parties for their independent advertising. If analytics or marketing tools are added in the future, this policy will be updated and legally required choices will be provided.
Retention and deletion
We retain paid-plan and transaction records as long as reasonably necessary to deliver plans, provide account access and support, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request correction or deletion of eligible information by emailing travel@collectiveatlas.com. Some payment and business records may need to be retained.
Children’s privacy
Trip Captain is intended for adults planning family travel. We may receive children’s ages and travel needs from a parent or guardian, but children should not submit information or create accounts themselves.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including hosted payment processing, verified sign-in for private plans, restricted access, and payment-confirmation checks. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so customers should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information.
